Gaminar

How it works

Nobody needs to show you. Here's the whole thing.

Sign up, rehearse for free, go live. You'll have 100 credits before you've finished reading this page.

  1. 1You, before the session

    Create the session

Pick the game, the date and the facilitator. You get a session code, a join link and a QR code. Add participants by email if you want them invited in advance, or just share the link on the day.

  2. 2You, on the day

    Open the control room

The facilitator view is where you admit participants as they arrive, start the game, pause it, and move between stages. It works on a laptop; most facilitators project the scoreboard on the room's screen or share it on the call.

  3. 3Participants

    Join on any device

They open the link or scan the QR, type their name, and land in the game. No app, no account, no download. In a room, that is the phone in their pocket. On a video call, it is the laptop they are already using — a second tab beside the call, and a bigger, better view of the game.

  4. 4Everyone

    Play, score, debrief

Scores update live. When the game ends, the results screen and the debrief template turn what just happened into the conversation the session was really for.

Practising is free. Always.

A session with 1 or 2 participants never costs a credit — not the first time, not the fiftieth. We assume a group that small is you rehearsing, or showing a client what the game looks like, and we don't charge for that. Run the whole game from start to finish, break it, reset it, do it again tomorrow.

The rehearsal recipe

Run it twice with nobody watching

The practice session is the real session. Same control room, same link, same scoring. It costs nothing because sessions with up to 2 participants are always free.

  1. 1

Create a session for today and open the facilitator control room in one tab.

  2. 2

Copy the join link and open it in two other browser windows (or one incognito window and your phone).

  3. 3

Join with two test names. Admit them from the control room and press start.

  4. 4

Play through every stage as both facilitator and participant. Read the debrief screen.

  5. 5

Do it once more. Now you know exactly what your participants will see, and what you will say.

Things people ask before their first session

Do I need a demo or a call to start?

No. Sign up, verify your email, and you are in. Every game comes with a facilitator guide, tutorial videos and debrief templates, and you can practise any game for free before you run it with a real group.

How long does sign-up take?

About two minutes: email and password (or Google/LinkedIn), a one-time code, and a short profile. You get 100 free credits immediately.

What do participants need?

A browser on any device — laptop, tablet or phone. They open your session link or scan the QR code, enter their name and email, and they are in. No app to install and no account to create. In a room people usually use their phone; on a video call the laptop they are already on gives the best view.

Does it work in a physical training room, or only online?

Both, and hybrid. Participants join on their own device whether they are in the room or remote, and you run the session from the facilitator screen. Many facilitators project the scoreboard on the room's display.

Can I practise before I run a game with a client?

Yes, as many times as you like. Any session with 2 participants or fewer is free, so open your join link in two extra browser windows, join with test names, and run the whole thing from start to finish. We recommend rehearsing at least twice before your first real session.

What if something goes wrong during a live session?

Every game has a facilitator control room where you admit participants, start, pause and move between stages. The facilitator guide for each game lists what to do in the common situations. Support answers within 24 hours, and the Gaminar Champions community is there for peer help.

How many participants can join?

It depends on the game — from 1 to 1,000. Each game page shows its range. Annual plans cover up to 2,000 participants per session.

Can other facilitators in my company use my account?

Yes. Add unlimited facilitators to one account; each gets their own login, and credits are shared.
